Candace is a New York native, who has recently relocated with her husband and two rescue pups she fostered since they were 5 weeks old to Fairfield County, CT.
Candace attended the University of Pittsburgh and obtained a B.S. in Child Psychology, focusing on Applied Developmental Psychology and received Masters’ in Early Child Education and Early Child Special Education from Fordham University. Candace worked as an early childhood teacher and teaching specialist for several years before graduating with honors form Animal Behavior College Dog Training Certification program. Candace continues her love of learning and is currently working on obtaining certifications in Pet Message and Pet Nutrition.
Candace is an active volunteer and donates her time to local and city shelters. At the shelter Candace assist with the overall care of the dogs, including taking dogs for walks, kennel cleaning, bathing when needed, meet and greet between dog and potential adopting parents, an accompany shelter pups to corporate and shelter fundraiser events. Candace regularly returns to the city to work closely with mentor Kate Perry and be an assistant trainer for Kate Perry Dog Training Team.
