Candace is a New York native who now resides in Fairfield Country, CT with her husband and two rescue pups.
Candace attended the University of Pittsburgh and obtained a B.S. in Child Psychology, focusing on Applied Developmental Psychology and received Masters’ in Early Child Education and Early Child Special Education from Fordham University. Candace worked as an early childhood teacher and teaching specialist for several years before graduating with honors from the Animal Behavior College, Dog Training Certification program. Candace continues her love of learning by currently working on certifications in Pet Message and Pet Nutrition.
Candace is an active volunteer and donates her time to local and city shelters. At the shelter, Candace assists with the overall care of the dogs, including walks, kennel cleaning, bathing, meet and greets between dog and potential adopting parents, and also accompanies shelter pups to corporate and shelter fundraiser events. Candace regularly returns to the city to work closely with mentor, Kate Perry as an assistant trainer with the Kate Perry Dog Training Team.
